Designing a modern sound system for a fast-moving fintech brand

The Challenge

As a growing player in the regional fintech space, UPayments needed a sonic identity that could strengthen its brand across campaigns, interfaces, and experiences. The sound had to strike a balance between innovation and clarity—serving as a signature element across both English and Arabic communications while remaining minimal, memorable, and user-friendly.

Our Approach

We began by crafting a custom Sonic DNA—a brief, melodic identity that communicates ease, confidence, and approachability. From this foundation, MusicGrid developed:

  • A Main Version for use across digital campaigns and video content
  • An Arabic Version, with modified phrasing to reflect regional tonality
  • An Ambient Version, designed for soft, non-intrusive background use (e.g. in-product moments)
  • A flexible system that allows for future scaling and adaptation

Each version was carefully engineered to sound unmistakably like UPayments, no matter where or how it’s used.
